To Whom It May Concern:

As a preschool teacher at the Ventura College Children's Center, it was my pleasure to have Heather M. Mowry as a student teacher in my classroom during the spring semester of 1998. Heather brought a lot of enthusiasm to her work, as well as many other valuable qualities that server her well as a preschool teacher. She works very well with children, helping them to become independent thinkers and doers. She is respectful, kind, affectionate, caring, and patient.

Heather worked in my classroom, from 8am to 12 noon, each day. She arrived everyday ahead of time, ready to begin work with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Her attitude towards the other employees and I was always respectful, positive, and professional.

Heather demonstrated to me that she knows what preschool-aged children are capable of and need, as far as age-appropriate curriculum and classroom behavior. Many days during the semester she prepared and presented a 15-20 minute circle time activity, a 10-15 minute story time, and various table activities, consisting of educational games (math, science, etc.) and various art activities.

In my opinion, as a preschool teacher with 20 years of classroom experience, Heather M. Mowry is an excellent preschool teacher that would be an asset to any good preschool program.
